The individual who has been charged in the fatal motorcycle accident that claimed the life of actor Treat Williams has expressed his overwhelming devastation and grief over the heartbreaking incident. Ryan M. Koss, the person accused of driving in a “grossly negligent” manner that resulted in Williams’ death, shared his emotions through his attorney, Ian Carleton of Sheehey Furlong & Behm. Koss firmly believes that the evidence will demonstrate his strict adherence to all pertinent traffic laws, and he feels that the state’s charges against him are unjust.

Nevertheless, Koss also conveyed profound sorrow in a statement to Us Weekly, expressing his devastation at the untimely passing of Mr. Williams. He disclosed that he had known the actor for many years and considered him both a friend and a fellow theater artist. Koss acknowledged the immense grief that Williams’ family must be enduring and extended his sincerest condolences to them.

The tragic crash occurred on June 12 and involved the esteemed actor Treat Williams. Witnesses stated that Williams was sent “hurtling through the air” prior to the collision. Despite the severity of the accident, he remained conscious and responded to inquiries when paramedics arrived. Subsequently, he was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in New York, where he unfortunately passed away at the age of 71.

Williams’ representative verified his demise, describing him as an incredibly kind individual and commending his talents as an actor. The actor’s untimely death left a considerable void in the entertainment industry, where he had been an influential figure since the late 1970s.

Following an investigation, the Vermont police determined that Koss, driving a 2008 Honda Element heading southbound, attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot. Williams, riding his 1986 Honda VT700c motorcycle northbound, was unable to avoid a collision as the car turned into his path. The impact resulted in severe injuries for Williams, ultimately leading to his tragic passing.

Koss has been charged with the offense and is scheduled to appear for arraignment on September 25 in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in Bennington.

Treat Williams is survived by his wife, Pam Van Sant, whom he married in 1988, as well as their two children, Gill and Elinor. His passing has had a profound impact on his family, friends, and the entertainment industry.
