Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi faced disruptions during a speech in Seattle when protesters accused her of complicity in international conflicts and demanded an end to her address. The protesters focused their accusations on issues in Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Palestine.

One protester passionately shouted, “Nancy Pelosi, you are complicit in the Israeli crime of genocide!” They further criticized the actions of the U.S. government in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Palestine. Another protester, who identified as Jewish and had Holocaust survivors in their family, expressed support for advocating for a free Palestine and denounced multiple genocides while clarifying that their actions were not antisemitic.

During the event, Pelosi engaged in a spirited exchange with MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell. Mitchell questioned Pelosi about her stance on House Republicans’ push to investigate President Biden, drawing parallels with Pelosi’s cautious approach to impeachment in the past. Mitchell raised concerns about initiating a process that might be difficult to stop once started.

In response, Pelosi defended her position by describing the impeachment proceedings against President Biden as “frivolous” and a “diversionary tactic.” She downplayed the efforts, stating that they were not based on substantial allegations. Pelosi redirected the discussion towards the positive economic achievements of the Biden administration, highlighting job reports, low unemployment rates, and job creation during Biden’s tenure.
