An intense discussion erupted between American Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and British reporter Emily Maitlis during an interview where Maitlis challenged Greene on her promotion of conspiracy theories. The altercation took place at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, following a successful Super Tuesday for Trump.

Maitlis, currently associated with the podcast The News Agents, approached Greene to discuss her political views and ambitions. However, the conversation turned confrontational when Maitlis addressed the prevalence of conspiracy theories among Trump supporters, including Greene herself.

Greene responded defensively, accusing the left and the media of propagating conspiracy theories while asserting her commitment to truth and constitutional principles. Despite Greene’s efforts to end the interview by stating, “We are all done here,” Maitlis pressed on.

The tension peaked when Maitlis brought up a contentious Facebook post by Greene from November 2018 in which she mentioned “Jewish space lasers” in relation to California wildfires, connecting them to the Rothschild family. The Rothschilds have long been associated with anti-Semitic tropes, adding to the controversy.

Greene visibly reacted to the mention of the “Jewish space lasers” comment, exhibiting anger and pointing at Maitlis while using profanity to end the interview. The incident quickly circulated on social media, garnering significant attention and diverse reactions from users online.
