Elon Musk’s Social Media Platform Ends Partnership with Former CNN Anchor Don Lemon
A recent news story revealed that the collaboration between social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk, and former CNN anchor Don Lemon has been terminated. Lemon had shared that Musk would be his first guest on an upcoming interview, but the partnership was canceled soon after the announcement.
Earlier this year, Lemon was set to host an exclusive show on X, named The Don Lemon Show. The program was intended to cover a range of topics such as politics, culture, sports, and entertainment, with plans for three 30-minute episodes each week. Musk shared his view on Lemon’s approach, stating, “His approach was basically just ‘CNN, but on social media,’ which doesn’t work.”
While X clarified that Lemon’s show could still share content on the platform without censorship, a formal commercial partnership would not be pursued. Lemon revealed that Musk ended the collaboration right after their interview, which covered topics like SpaceX and the presidential election.
Despite this setback, Lemon is expected to explore other ways to connect with audiences and share his viewpoints on different platforms. Lemon had generated anticipation for his show with Musk as the first guest, indicating that they’d delve into Musk’s projects and societal issues.
Even though the partnership with X has ended, Lemon continues to be active on social media, interacting with followers and expressing his thoughts on various subjects.
