Joe Biden’s Fashion Choices Steal the Spotlight Instead of Bribery Allegations

In an unexpected turn of events, Politico’s Playbook shifted its attention from serious bribery allegations against President Joe Biden to a more frivolous topic – his wardrobe. Instead of focusing on important news stories surrounding the President, the evening edition of the Playbook dedicated its coverage to President Biden’s fashion choices during his recent European tour.

While Politico highlighted details like the length of Biden’s suit pants at a NATO summit in Lithuania, there were significant news stories being overlooked. Senator Chuck Grassley released an FBI document suggesting that both Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, had received $5 million from Mykola Zlochevsky, the founder of Burisma Holdings. This alleged payment was said to be linked to Joe Biden’s pressure on Ukraine’s government to dismiss a prosecutor investigating Burisma. However, the Playbook failed to address this important news.

Instead, readers were treated to a detailed fashion analysis by Derek Guy, a popular fashion blogger known as Menswear Guy. Guy praised Biden’s wardrobe choices and even claimed that the President dressed better than his European counterparts. The article also delved into discussions about Biden’s style and casual attire.

To make matters worse, additional revelations emerged regarding the FBI’s prior knowledge of Joe Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine, before the infamous “Laptop from Hell” story broke. The FBI document released by Grassley referred to Biden as the “big guy,” aligning with the reporting by the New York Post in October 2020 and subsequent whistleblower claims. Surprisingly, this story seemed to be overlooked not only by Politico but also by major media outlets like CNN and the New York Times, as noted by industry figures such as Tom Bevan and Sean Davis.

This pattern of underreporting concerning allegations against Joe Biden is not new. In June, mainstream news broadcasters and websites, including ABC’s “World News Tonight,” “CBS Evening News,” the Washington Post, CNN, and MSNBC, ignored allegations related to Hunter Biden’s IRS whistleblower case. These allegations suggested possible preferential treatment by the Justice Department in investigating tax violations.

The consistent selective reporting by the media on important issues raises legitimate concerns about objectivity and comprehensive news coverage in today’s media landscape.
