Missouri Governor Sends National Guard Members to Assist with Border Security Issues in Response to Texas Governor’s Request
Governor Mike Parson of Missouri has announced the deployment of National Guard troops and state troopers to the southern U.S. border to support Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s plea for help with border security.
Governor Parson made his decision after personally witnessing the situation at the border and criticized President Biden for what he considers weak border policies, which he believes have led to a security crisis.
“Missouri is taking matters into its own hands. It is unconscionable that we would not secure our border,” Governor Parson stated.
