Ukrainian Foreign Minister Calls for Stronger Western Defense Amidst Criticism, Expressing Concerns over Europe’s Preparedness for War
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has voiced his concerns about the Western response to the Russian invasion, stressing the need for a more unified and efficient defense strategy. Kuleba emphasized the weaknesses of European defense industries and urged for the consolidation of Western arms companies to enhance production capacity.
Highlighting the limited understanding of warfare in Europe, Kuleba underscored the potential serious consequences not only for Ukraine but also for the overall security of Europe. He expressed worries about the lack of military expertise in Europe, which could lead to prolonged and devastating conflicts.
Kuleba remains hopeful for assistance from the United States and the European Union, but he stressed the importance of timely support to prevent further prolonging of the war and increasing its toll on human lives. He criticized the extended discussions among Western allies about escalating the production of weapons and ammunition.

He dismissed the belief that Russian President Vladimir Putin would refrain from attacking a NATO country if successful in Ukraine, stating that anyone who believes so is either naive or pursuing Russian interests.
